Sweet little updates

In case you didn’t notice I went very minimal (this week) and it just so happens I have grown to love it. At first I was a little cautious but my good friend Luc Rioual reminded me that this is just a website! Hahaha! Sometimes I have a problem… I will make a layout or change things up and if they stray too far away from what I am used to I will scrap the whole thing. Hopefully not this time.

I like the super cool Twitter bubble I made. I think I am going to write a tutorial on it. I think people would be into it. It beats having all of your Tweets listed on the sidebar. At least now it has personality. Other than that I rewrote the About page. You can check that out by clicking up top.

I am still eagerly pursuing the collection of those damn Cactus Pups. I can’t seem to land the green one. It’s pretty much the only one I want and wouldn’t you know it… I want it so I can never find it. Whatever. Anyhow you know the same drain after I post… check back, I will post a time waster tomorrow. You will love it.

Hot Air Press

top1.jpgLong time friend, Slackerstyle affiliate, and literary juggernaut Luc Rioual has embarked on his newest project. Hot Air Press has launched as Rioual’s “…attempt at destroying the unsatisfying equilibrium. A vessel for the release of artistic and literary endeavors.” Anyone who has followed posts here or followed Rioual’s young career as a modern day poet and artist on their own knows his ability to capture the emotion of youth.

He has now turned that creative drive into a pressing company which will be responsible for all future releases. We can look forward to many new releases from him and special guests. His newest release is a limited run of Hot Air Press t-shirts. I have already pre-ordered mine haha, room on the list is scarce so if you are going to make a move do it quickly!

Rioual will no doubt make a profound impact on literature as time rolls on. Now is your chance to be apart of something at the very beginning. Give yourself a chance, give him a chance and check out some of his work. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Help for a friend

403830_120508_1c62055e3a_pAs many of you may know one of my favorite up and coming photographers is a 20 year old kid named Luc Rioual. Luc has spent a lot of time refining his photographic style and really becoming a popular name on flickr. Always traveling with a backpack and his camera he usually is around to capture the best shots. His work is ironic, serious, and thought provoking. He has always been a hustler and a hard worker. He worked odd jobs days on end to afford his equipment which has given so many, so much… and now he needs our help!

Luc has submitted 3 photos to JPG Magazine and is currently up to be included in the next issue. We need to vote him in! I have included a link to the pictures up for consideration… please take a moment and check them out, if you dig ‘em, vote for them! You can vote for all 3! Yes you have to be a member to vote but I am going to assume most of my readers are already members to something as excellent as JPG Mag, I know I am.
