Hello hello, I figured with the time I have in between right now and what I have planned for next week I should post to keep everyone happy. In the next few days I will have some very exclusive and very important content hitting the Slackerstyle.com main page. I will leak that it is an interview, I won’t say with who or what about but I promise it will be very interesting and informative! Get psyched, I know I am!
Did someone say podcast? I think they did, well worry not because the first episode is complete and is just in the final stages of editing. No I didn’t forget about it. We had to re-record the entire episode because we wanted to touch on new topics that popped up. The first episode will just be my brother (iMicrohoogle.com/The Instant Classic) and I but I already have some fresh ideas for the second episode.
Anyway, that’s it for now. I can’t wait to post the exclusive interview I have cooking, other then that just be patient and check back as always!

People love gossip, especially about the music scene and key figures involved. If I said names like “Century Media Records”, “Stillborn Records” and “Jamey Jasta” people’s interest would start to perk. The Distance front man Jay ‘Reason’ recently sat down with Jordan Baker @ PastePunk.com for a rare tell all interview. Anyone who is a fan of Connecticut music or just music in general shouldn’t miss out on this one.
Jay is known for his silence with matters pertaining to the business, his relationship with Century Media Records, Abacus Records, Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed, and day to day operations at Stillborn Records. In the interview he addresses it all. Anyone who has followed his career and life needs to take a few moments to read one of the finest pieces of journalism I have read in some time. Jay handles all tough questions with class and respect. We find out that The Distance is working on a follow up to their acclaimed “The Rise, The Fall, and Everything in Between”. The parting between band and label and all the questions you’ve always wanted answered finally addressed by one of music’s hardest working artists.
Don’t waste anymore time. Click here to check it out and while you’re at it make your way over to their MySpace and have a listen to the new single “Lend me your ears”.
