IWBTG - Today’s EPIC Time Waster

untitled2IWBTG or I wanna be the guy is an EPIC and very frustrating puzzle/side scroller. You are The Kid and you have to make your way through levels of pure madness. Prepare to spend an hour just on the first level. You get one life per run and you die a horrible death if you get owned.

Everything as you perceive it to be is probably wrong. If you think you can jump onto that platform, guess what, once you do… you will probably die. You think you are safe in that corner? WHAM! You just got crushed by giant spikes. And so on, and so on.

People email me saying I don’t post enough Time Wasters… well to all of you who complain, enjoy. I’ll see you in like 3 months because this game is the most addicting time consuming thing I have ever posted. It is built fabulously and really pays homage to the 80’s/90’s side scroller.

Here is the description from the website.

I Wanna Be The Guy: The Movie: The Game is a sardonic loveletter to the halcyon days of early American videogaming, packaged as a nail-rippingly difficult platform adventure. Players fill the role of The Kid, a youthful, vaguely Megaman-esque protagonist on a quest to become The Guy. This inscrutable plot, however, is just a vehicle for a wide variety of inventive, well-designed and frustrating jump-and-shoot challenges that pay homage to many of the games you loved as a child. The ever-fragile Kid explodes in a shower of red pixels at the slightest brush from the game’s many obstacles, from traditional spikes and bottomless pits to more unconventional killers, such as plantlife and puzzle pieces.

Using a multi route layout not unlike a Metroidvania, the game grants a degree of deadly exploration, without those extraneous upgrades meant to make life easier. The game provides players with a choice in terms of their death rate, thanks to a variable difficulty setting that changes the number of save points from frequent to nonexistent. IWBTG is open to all players; knowledge of video gaming history is optional, and may not help against the frequently ironic and always sadistic deathtraps located herein. And so, the question is left up to you…

Do YOU have what it takes to be The Guy?

So yeah, all that noise. This game rules you. You vs. this game… you are fail. Download the game directly by clicking here.

Totem Destroyer - Today’s Time Waster

Totem Destroyer is a physics based puzzle game with 25 levels. Your mission is to destroy the required number of blocks in each level without breaking the little golden statue who usually sits on top of the whole thing. You click on a block to destroy it (black blocks cannot be destroyed). As you play through the blocks will fall and tumble so the block you click has an effect on the entire level.

This game is great, very addicting. I sat online and played through all 25 levels. Give it a spin and see what’s up. There are also some cool achievements to get a 100% in the game. Some of them are easy like clicking on the button “More Games” and others are difficult like spending 10 minutes on one puzzle and then beating the puzzle.

FMX-Team; Today’s Time Waster

fmxteam

FMX-Team is probably my biggest addiction right now… well other than Twitter, but still I love this game. It’s not anything you haven’t seen before, and it’s not special in anyway. For the last two weeks FMXT has taken up much of my free time. What’s so great? Nothing. The game is just a typical motorcross game where you ride off jumps and pull tricks in the air. As you gain more experience you obtain new tricks. Each rider has 5 tricks in all and 3 to start.

Your purpose is to set records. I have set many myself. My highest placing is something like 224? Check for Jay VDC somewhere in that range. There are like 20 levels and in each level you do the same thing. Pull tricks for big scores. The game really sucks but since I’ve been playing it on and off for the last fortnight I figured what the hell.

Spin the Black Circle - Today’s Time Waster

stbc.JPG

The long awaited return of “Today’s Time Waster” brings us an excellent game that will require some talent, some timing, and some patience! I was reminded of “T.T.W” talking to a friend of mine today and they requested something to alleviate the boredom that is work and school so I present Spin the Black Circle.

Spin the Black Circle is a challenging game that is quiet simple in theory and participation. You control a circle. You must spin a room around to allow a ball to travel to its goal. All you do is use the left and right arrow keys and let gravity do what it does best. The first couple of levels are nice little warm ups and eventually you need to stop being reckless and make a turn, jump some spikes, and spin the whole room upside down.

I have no idea how many levels there are because I haven’t beat the game yet but I promise it will provide some serious time wasting. I spent 25 minutes just fucking with the game… so who knows how many you will waste if you are actually bored. Comments on which level you got to would be cool. Let us know!

Bloodninja - Today’s Time Waster

No this isn’t a game or anything like that. It requires only that you are able to read. Technically then if you are reading this you are in good shape!

These are real conversations from someone posing as “Bloodninja”. This is his hilarious attempt to cyber with girls. It sounds lame but it is some of the funniest shit I have read in a long time.

Check it out!

If you can’t get enough of part 1, then please make your way to part 2!
