Is it in our nature to always be miserable? Like honestly is there anything good enough? It pains me to see people change face so quickly because they don’t have something others do. Sometimes attaining something special isn’t an “over night” project. That which we label “special” is only acquired through hard work and self improvement. You must look deep into yourself, understand your shortcomings and master your natural abilities. Grow in strength, and find peace within yourself. Love is not given out to everyone, and it’s not free. If it was it would not be “special”. People are always looking for the handout. Guess what, it’s not coming. Try handing it to yourself.
People want to complain about “love” and the struggle to find it. Yet at the same time, the people complaining loudest don’t want to work to have real love. Seriously, what do you have to offer besides skin coated with the dust of ex-lovers? Having someone in your life for the sake of having someone in your life is a waste of time. It’s very one dimensional. Like why bother? If you “need” someone in your life, you are already going in the wrong direction. See what I’m saying? Probably not but understand this… If there was no struggle everyone would have it. If it was easy… it would be for every sucker.

That’s right you heard it here and this is a Slackerstyle.com exclusive download. Rumors are piling up that Jay Reason and The Distance will be teaming up with N’Sync co-founder Chris Kirkpatrick to produce their next studio album! I sat down to speak with Jay and the short answer is YES they are! He has confirmed to Slackerstyle.com that recording will start June 25th in Orlando Florida. Big news!
Once the news broke Jay issued a statement to put all rumors to rest.
So, I heard about this and I am glad the news is out there, It’s not like I didn’t know people were going to diss us. The style isn’t for everyone and it IS very weird that he likes our band. We have all worked hard on this, and I am personally excited to yet again work with another team of very talented people. I can’t wait to get the next chapter in my life started with music and who knows where this will lead us.
We are recording, there will be a formal press release at some point, I don’t know who is releasing it (although we do have a few ideas of where we’d like to see it, and some labels are very interested).
Don’t be a hater, I think anyone if given the chance to go record for free, live in a mansion for a little while and party with some celebs would go for it. I am just going for mine.
So there it is. Rumors put to rest. I for one am extremely excited about the news hitting the public. This is the biggest news to hit CT in some time so keep your eyes here for more details as they come. At least I know I didn’t “officially” leak it, haha. And make sure to pick up a copy of THE WORLD IS NOT READY #02… I promise you will want to read THAT now that you know about THIS.
Oh and just in case you were interested in hearing the LEAKED copy of The Distance’s new hit single… yeah Slackerstyle.com has that too, GRAB YOUR COPY NOW!
Alright sorry but I have just been all over the place. A lot going on right now, this week my Mother’s new store front will be opening so I will be away from the internet for a few days. You can follow updates on my Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/jayfarmington) as usual.
Also a lot going on with THE WORLD IS NOT READY (http://www.theworldisnotready.com/) as I have just announced book 2 titled “Do Not Resuscitate”. It’s gonna be a banger! We are sticking with the poetry of course but also including some content that has nothing to do with poetry and sways more towards a magazine but I’ve already said too much! I can’t believe that I am actually able to do another release, I couldn’t be more happy that people were interested enough to buy book 1. Thank you to everyone.
I am anxiously awaiting my Sidekick LX update (I better fucking get it before Chrissy!). This weekend is beach, um hi weekend, hurry.

Yesterday I was at the beach, the sun and I did battle. I don’t know who was the clear cut winner but I am burnt on places I didn’t know you could get burned. Places like the sides of my fingers? How does that happen haha! Randy and I were joined in Rhode Island by Chrissy, Kelly, and Nicole and we beached it up, Iggy’d is up and came home and slept it up like whoa.
Did some photo work with Chrissy’s camera and had a few key images come out really sick. For more on that please visit my Flickr. Outside that not much going on. My Mother’s new store is opening soon and the website will launch around the same time. Not really 100% on the look of the site but I’m sure as the days pass I will get it together.
So anyway back to the title of this post… The Ladies of Slackerstyle Studios. I would like to introduce the world and all of my readers to The Photography of Nicole Roseann a.k.a. Nikki Rose. She is the newest member of the Slackerstyle Family and the first member to be added in like 5+ years. Nicole has a great eye for photos and has some amazing work to share with everyone. Check out her online portfolio and leave some thoughts.
The other misses is Chrissy Xo (http://chrissyxo.wordpress.com/), she has started her own blog. While she isn’t hosted at slackerstyle.com (we might have to change that) she is always considered apart of the SSDC Family. While her online presence is very new I consider her blog an important aspect and extension to her existence and personality. Chrissy has had first hand experience with a lot of “life lessons” and makes it known in her writing. I recommend anyone looking for something new and fun to read to check her out.
That’s that for now, as usual follow @jayfarmington at twitter.com for any sort of updates that I don’t really write about here.
/Jay
