People love gossip, especially about the music scene and key figures involved. If I said names like “Century Media Records”, “Stillborn Records” and “Jamey Jasta” people’s interest would start to perk. The Distance front man Jay ‘Reason’ recently sat down with Jordan Baker @ PastePunk.com for a rare tell all interview. Anyone who is a fan of Connecticut music or just music in general shouldn’t miss out on this one.
Jay is known for his silence with matters pertaining to the business, his relationship with Century Media Records, Abacus Records, Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed, and day to day operations at Stillborn Records. In the interview he addresses it all. Anyone who has followed his career and life needs to take a few moments to read one of the finest pieces of journalism I have read in some time. Jay handles all tough questions with class and respect. We find out that The Distance is working on a follow up to their acclaimed “The Rise, The Fall, and Everything in Between”. The parting between band and label and all the questions you’ve always wanted answered finally addressed by one of music’s hardest working artists.
Don’t waste anymore time. Click here to check it out and while you’re at it make your way over to their MySpace and have a listen to the new single “Lend me your ears”.

Sad news today. Heath Ledger has apparently overdosed and died. He was 28. He will always be remembered as The Joker in my mind. I anticipate the release of the new Batman movie and hope his role cements his legacy in movie history.

So I’m cleaning out my storage area that sits behind my closet through a little door and what do I find? My old skateboard… and another board and set of trucks that have never been used! Moving rules! Tomorrow I think I’ll be putting them together and going outside and getting re-associated with the ollie.

I am moving. I spent the better part of a week packing my room. I went through over 6 years of collected memories and things I had forgotten all about. Some things I knew I’d see again but didn’t want to.
The website will spend some time in hiatus as I won’t have my computer running or internet for that matter for at least a week. Check my twitter for any and all updates as far as I go. I update that shit like 20 times a day from my cell phone. http://www.twitter.com/jayfarmington

I’ve been shopping for the past couple of weeks. I figured I’d post some of the more awesome shoes I bought. If anyone reading this is into Nike’s and rocks a size 12, get at me! Let’s sell/trade. Anyway here are some Nike Dunks and SB’s I have bought recently.
Takeshi Regime “Turtles”
Designed by Japanese artist around the turtle, the in-sole features art by the artist. The leather resembles lizard skin and it is topped off by a lace bar in the shape of a snapping turtles head.

Nike SB Tokyo “Taxi’s”
Colored to resemble Tokyo style taxis these SB’s are extremely comfortable. The “Taxi’s” come in aqua color or Green. I copped the green. Insole’s labeled with Taxi branding.

Nike Paul Rodriguez 2 Zoom Air
These SB’s are sick in person. Mad detail and comfort. The inner lining is like a silk blanket. Pictures don’t do them justice.

These are just some of my basics, no rare shoes, I will post those in the next post. These are just some of my favorites to wear. Next post will have some pics of my MF Doom’s and shit like that. Enjoy.
