Monday is Memorial Day and it’s no surprise that because of the busy travel weekend gas prices have sky rocketed. I mean I support big business and always back people making money but I think gas prices have to be where I finally draw the line. These companies are making millions and millions and millions of dollars a day! They jack up the prices of gas on purpose and believe me it’s not because they are running out. Gas prices are a fixed scam. The “Gas Lords” in the Mid-East are not doing this because they are running out of oil. No, these gas prices are breaking through the roof because they know they can charge us almost $4.00 a gallon and we will pay it.
So what to do about it? More like what to do about nothing. We are at the mercy of the oil companies and there isn’t anything you can do. My advice to anyone who is overly sick of being fucked in the ass at their local gas station… get a job for the oil company, there is plenty oil money to go around.
As proof that things are out of control, and as prof that gas prices will go over $4.00 a gallon this summer I snapped a picture at my local gas station. I have a high performance car and unfortunately can only go as low as 89 grade gas, usually I put 93 but the way things are I might just have to take a chance and grab 87. Something has to be done, and no those “don’t buy gas tomorrow” ideas won’t work, it’s bullshit. The only thing I can think of is maybe go fill your tank and drive off! Tell the police IF YOU GET CAUGHT that you thought your credit card went through! Oops!?

Alright tonight while I was at the local gas station I took a look at the soda refrigerator and saw all these (as Jay Reason would say) “novelty sodas” sitting there. It dawned upon me at that moment that I would begin to buy them and review them here on slackerstyle The World Is Not Ready.
The first soda up for review is the limited edition Pepsi – Summer Mix. At first the bottle caught my eye because of the “un-pepsi” colors. The bottle is very bright and different. Upon further read the bottle told me that this bottle contained Pepsi mixed with “tropical fruit flavors”, without really looking for another else I decided to buy it.
The Summer Mix made its way to my house where I opened it and readied myself for the sniff/taste test. At first smell it really reminded me of fruit punch, the fruit smell is really noticeable. So on to the taste.
The Summer Mix is something different… but yet it’s not. Honestly at first I didn’t get the “zing” I expected but rather just the Pepsi cola taste, after a second or two I then tasted the “fruit flavoring”. In all honesty the Summer Mix is just strawberry soda to me. Maybe upgraded strawberry soda. The taste is “bright” but nothing I would rave about. I would even go as far to say that it has a *hint* of that medicine taste. Not what I expected.
Overall I give Pepsi credit for thinking different but in the end they just repackaged strawberry cough medicine and shipped it out.

Ok so Pirates 3… total garbage. Save yourself the money and don’t see it! The first two movies were excellent however this installment is laid out terribly. The idea behind the plot and ending is really throw together, it seems like they spent more times on the effects than they did on the story itself.
I promise you will leave the theater (or your computer screen ‘wink’) disappointed. The movie lacks in true substance and plot development. Everything seems rushed. The bottom line to the whole thing is that the movie took the wrong turn. The movie should have finished in a completely different way. As is, this movie is a great disappointment.
Sucks.

Yes, you read the headline correctly… Pepsi is planning to release a special Ice Cucumber-flavored soda/drink in Japan this summer. According to the official press release (in Japanese), the new drink flavor will hit stores across Japan on June 12th, but it will only be available for a limited time.
I will do my absolute best to get a bottle of this and review it. I think novelty/limited edition drinks are a summer staple. I can’t imagine this is going to be good but you never know. It could be fantastic!
Motorola has announced that the Motorola RAZR 2 will launch this summer. The phone is the successor to the iconic Motorola RAZR. The RAZR 2 will be 2 millimeters thinner and be available for just about every carrier and service. The phone will support EV-DO and play Windows Media natively.
It includes something Moto is calling “Crystal Talk” technology that automatically adjusts volume and tone based on ambient noise and promises to change the way we hear and sound over a cell phone.
The phone sports a sweet 2-inch QVGA external display, 2.2-inch QVGA internal display, and twice the screen resolution of the original RAZR. GSM versions start shipping in early July, with CDMA following up later in the summer. Sure to be the phone of the summer? iPhone?
